Come and join Marie at the beautiful Brooksby Hall in Leicestershire to start to make these lovely fairisle socks. These socks are very special as they are knitted in Marie's new yarn - BRITISH BREEDS, which will be launched at YARNDALE on the 29th & 30th September and then online from the 1st October. The photographs show Marie's design swatch, photographs of the finished socks will be published as soon as possible. The sock are calf length and are a slouchy fit suitable for wear as house socks. This new design is the perfect project to learn how to knit Fairisle as it is the socks are knitted in the round and only uses 2 colours in a round at any one time.

TIME 10am until 4pm. We will start promptly so please arrive by 9.45am.

LOCATION Brooksby Hall, Brooksby, Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire LE14 2LJ.

WHAT YOU WILL MAKE You will start to make the beautiful Norah Fairisle Socks using Marie Wallin's new BRITISH BREEDS yarn.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN How to knit Fairisle in the round, we will also show you some tips to help you with your stranded knitting.

SKILL LEVEL Suitable for knitters of all abilities, including those who wish to learn Fairisle knitting.

WHAT IS INCLUDED The pattern, chart and the yarn to complete the socks (9 x 25g balls). A lunch made from locally sourced produce, lots of tea & coffee, fruit juice, biscuits and afternoon cake.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING 2.75mm & 3.25mm circular needles - 25cm cable length or double pointed needles

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO COMPLETE THE SOCKS You will be given everything you need to make the tam.
